Hey folks,

Can I just say that I HATE DRIVING IN THIS COUNTRY.
and the keyboard is all screwy too. NOt only do you have to drive on the werong side of the road from the wrong side of the car, but you hvae a big ol' "£" where there should be a ....something else.

Besides that, things are going pretty well. You should see the maps that people have been drawing for us to "help". As soon as we have an address and get Matt's computer sent to us, we will be scaning some funny funny maps.

I do wish we would have given ourselves somewhere to stay for longer than just a week. Because one week is not long enough to go through the interview process. And I forgot that its coming up on Satan Patties day (no typo) which means that its gonna be hard to find a place. Our B&B is already housing us 3 more days than previously arranged, but after that they will be full. We are looking at variuos apartments/houses. We found one that we really like. Cute 2 bedroom cottage by the sea...but its tough to decide on where to put down for permenant here when we don't know where Matt's job will be. Ughh. And you can't open a bank account without having an address.

I still haven't found the Kingdom Hall. Everytime someone gives us directions we get lost, or find a church. And Matt's friend that was gonna be here to show us around, ended up staying in Galway. But he'll be here on Friday.

So, at least our landlady gave us the bright idea of getting a cell phone. But, we already need to get more minutes on it. Prepaid. You have to sign a one-year contract here for a phone, and once again, must have a local bank account, and address to get it..... These people and stability!

Matt has had a few interviews, but it takes time. It sure seems like there are a lot of jobs to be had....Just takes time to figure out the details. So far so good.

This is just a quick post to let everyone know that we landed safely and are now scrambling to find work and shelter. More to come as the adventure continues, the ride over has already been quite exciting.
